Tears Of Joy As Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation Finally Storms Igbere(Photos)

There were tears of joy  in Igbere, Bende LGA, Abia State – the home of the former Abia State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and the founder of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation.

The jubilation started when the team of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu stormed the hilly community to give  the interest free loan for petty traders and the downtrodden.

Igbere TV learnt that Orji Uzor Kalu’s kinsmen on sighting the OUKF team could not hide their tears of joy as the interest free loan get disbursed to the petty traders in the community.

Recall that the loan scheme was conducted through balloting and the winners emerged.

Speaking to our correspondent after receiving the loan, Mrs Uchechi Okezie, a food seller, thanked Dr Kalu, praying that “may the almighty God remember him in whatever he seeks as he remembers us in Jesus name Amen” she said.

Also, the executive secretary of the foundation, Rev Mrs Jemimah Ola Kalu, made it known to the beneficiaries that the loan is payable and they should endeavour to pay in order to get more.

She noted that the interest free loan scheme is in line with the United Nations 2030 poverty eradication and development goals agenda.

The beneficiaries sang and danced with Orji Kalu’s name as they thanked him and equally vowed to support him in his political pursuit.

Meanwhile, the petty traders interest free loan scheme which kick-started from Abia North will go round the state.
