The Legal Team Of The Indigenous People Of Biafra, has secured Bail from The Rivers State High Court, for ENAM DAVID an Ibibio speaking Biafran, who was illicitly detained in 2016, for participating in IPOB Peaceful Rally and charged under the Federal Laws of Nigeria;
(1)Levying War against the Federal Republic Of Nigeria
(2)Hosting Biafra Flag in Public Places
The Hardcore Biafran activist who is tagged “The Great Man”, by IPOB Legal Team under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was denied Bail by Rivers State Magistrate Court presided by D.N Wanjoku, as the court claimed lack of jurisdiction to grant Bail, hence transferred the file to the Director Of Public Prosecution(Dpp).
A remand order was given to PortHarcourt Maximum Prisons, upon which a Bail Application was filed in Rivers State High Court and the raped judiciary system, kept him on a lengthy detention.
The Prosecutor repeatedly absconded from the Court, even when served Processes and a Hearing Notice leading to adjournments.
The Prosecutor conveniently showed up on one of the adjourned dates and demanded for a lengthy adjournment, to get himself ready for prosecution, which was accorded to him, by Hon. Justice E.N Thompson the presiding Judge.
IPOB Legal Team was ordered to serve both the State and Federal Ministry Of Justice hearing notices, to avoid further excuses, which was done by the Legal Counsel.
An argument which was videotaped issued between IPOB Legal Counsel and the Federal Ministry Of Justice, on their refusal to accept services and denial of having the Case file, upon which the Court Bailiff was sent to carry out the services.
The Prosecuting counsel appeared with same excuse of unpreparedness and seeked for another adjournment, in order to get the case file from the Magistrate Court and was warned never to return with fallacious excuse, as the Freedom of the accused is at stake and his human right violated.
On the last graceful adjournment date, the prosecutor absconded from the Court and Bail was granted to Enam David the accused Biafran activist, whose human right was grossly violated by the Nigeria Government.
Enam David “The Great Man” who came out with an IPOB CREST written “WE ARE FORMIDABLE” tagged on his white shirt, expressed his appreciation over the Love and abutment shown to him. The steadfastness shown by the Legal Team to get him released, despite the exhibition of Nigeria failed judiciary system. He appreciated the Leadership Of IPOB for taking care of his Family, while on detention and vowed never to capitulate on the Biafra struggle, as he reunites with his Family.
