Digits: Abians are Tired of Gov. Ikpeazu, the Accidental Governor

When Gov. Okezie is serious with governance, Ndi Abia will know and willingly endorse him for second term without using fetish means alias dibialization.

By now, if Gov. Okezie is serious with governance, some good number of reasonable people in the state will voluntarily come out en mas and make a million march for his endorsement. I would have even gone to the extent of committing my personal resources to support in campaigning for his second term.

But the truth remains that the type of Abia we (the sane) want is not the type Okezie is governing. We want Abia where the governor will be up and doing, accountable, responsible, proactive, visionary and modern. And Gov. Ikpeazu is totally opposite of modern generation and modern government, though he is educated.

The truth is that Abians need a new capable hand to pioneer the affairs of the state. We Abians are tired of a government that after evacuation of dirt from the gutters, it will be left for weeks without been removed and allow to be carried back to the gutter during a rainfall. Go round Aba, the dirt evacuated since January clean up exercise is still lying there without been removed.

We are tired of a government that will abandon the main stadium without renovating it and start construction of a new mini one at etche road field within 1 kilometer away from the abandoned Enyimba Stadium. As at today, the highly celebrated Enyimba football club of Aba do play their matches in a borrowed stadium of the neighboring state.

Abians are tired of a confused government. A government that is adding more problems to the existing ones than bringing solution and solving them. For example in 2015, Gov. Okezie demolished buildings in Ohazu road, Ozuomba road, for the construction of the roads,  yet it abandoned the roads without working them and start off another demolition of buildings elsewhere. Abians are really tired of plan-less government that cannot prioritize it’s activities. We are not against demolishing of buildings that are blocking the roads but the question is, why not finish those places you demolished first  before starting another one?

Abians are tired of nomadic government, a government that cannot develop a modern technology to be used for the collection of her revenues. We are tired of government that is using touts and intimidation to collect revenues. We are tired of government that allowed her supposed internally in the hands of Agbero who are carrying about fake files and papers without remitting to the state pause. Abians are tired of a state where to own a commuter bus and business are like committing an offence. A state where a tout will boldly tell a reasonable person that he is bigger than the governor.

Abians are tired of government where anyone can be impersonating the governor or government without being punished. In the markets, you see people collecting governors levy, wife of the governor levy, son of the governor’s levy, chairman’s levy and many others, yet when you ask the government about these levies they will deny it and they will make no effort to stop it or arrest the perpetrators.

Abians are tired of a government which two major employments it has created for the youths are collecting of Keke Daily tickets and facebook (e-media,e-rats) jobs. We are tired of government which the major portfolio of almost all the office holders of the government is facebook posting. A government that is eating yet her workers are hungry without salaries for months.

Abia are tired of many things coming from Ikpeazu led government. In fact we are tired of hara hara wuru wuru, wuru wuru hara hara government of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu. A government that if you genuinely criticized, her senior officials will start calling you names and threatening you with police and death.

By the grace of God, come 2019, if Ikpeazu didn’t voluntarily resign, we will use PVC to resign him because the only solution to rebuild this state Abia is to remove this accidental governor who is not prepared for the Job.
