I Had restrained myself from posting or commenting on public affairs on Facebook for some time now for very personal reasons. But I was so amused how desperation can drive Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, led by well-known political jobbers, to breach all established decorum, not only as a Governor but, indeed, as an avowed Christian to swim in the dirty waters of political jobbery of the worst calibre. Let me ask my readers, and I request honest opinion, what did Okezie Ikpeazu gain beyond the political abracadabra and the peuril fetishists incantation of our Ndi Dibia?
Secondly, can one political party, in a multi-party democratic setting assemble its members and other hirelings to come to a public space to ‘decree’ that only it’s candidate will contest election in a particular geographic space to the exclusion of all other political parties in the Federal Republic of Nigeria?
Furthermore, is it not an issue for disqualification for a Party or a Candidate in an unrestrained desperation to begin his public solicitation for votes one year ahead of, and outside, the timetable set by INEC?
Okezie Ikpeazu and his PDP have lost their sleep since Dr Alex Otti indicated desire to reclaim the stolen mandate given to him by the majority of the voters of Abia State in 2015 and he is fully supported not only by the masses but as well by the majority of Elders, Abia professionals, the Clergy and, indeed, dr Max Nduaguibe, the UGO NGWA the second and the UGO NDI UKWA LA NGWA the 1st, among many other well-known and well- meaning Nigerians. Ever since Dr Alex Otti showed up with Max Nduaguibe and countless others Okezie Ikpeazu has been running helter-skelter, from pillar to post, in utter desperation, assembling all manner of charlatans to endorse him in an election he is sure to lose, the masses of Abia State having deplored his cluelessness and rudderless administration powered by the trio of T. A. Orji, wife and son.
Okezie Ikpeazu relax. 2019 Elections is your date with fate. One thing I am sure of is that you can never buy up the masses of Abia State easily as you buy well-known political jobbers who are bent on ridiculing Ukwa-Ngwa people, presenting our God fearing people as a bunch of primitives, desperate for just the crumbs coming the tables of the power-givers in Umuahia. God forbid!
