The Abia State government has denied being involved with the abduction of the Abacityblog publisher, Ngozi Blessed this morning. The state government revealed that the blogger has not committed any crime and because of that, they have no hand in his abduction.

This was made known to Igbere TV correspondent who contacted the state commissioner of Information, John Okiyi Kalu to speak on the abduction of the blogger by unknown gunmen this morning while he was on his way to cover ORJI UZOR KALU FOUNDATION’S free Interest Loan.
The commissioner also asked our correspondent to contact the DSS, Police or if possible the commissioner of police.
When contacted, both police and DSS denied being in custody of the abducted blogger.
Meanwhile, the online media practitioners association of Nigeria has condemned the abduction of her member in Umuahia. The Association subsequently gave the authorities and security agencies in the state till 23.59 today to secure Onwukwe’s release or face mass protest in Umuahia tomorrow.
