Bomb explosions have rocked Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
The explosions which occurred at about 8.20pm Sunday around the Muna Garage area at the outskirts of the city created panic in the area.
Commissioner of Police, Borno Command, Damian Chukwu confirmed the incident. “There are some bomb blasts this night and our men are already at the scene,” he told The Sun, promising to provide more detail as the rescue operation gets underway.
Maiduguri, epicentre of the over six years Boko Haram insurgency has experienced relative peace until now.
