A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Olufemi Onimole is dead.
The late former lawmaker died Saturday evening at a London hospital.
Onimole was age 61.
He was elected to represent Ifako Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
He was re-elected in 2003 for the same office and same platform but defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the floor of the House.
Late Onimole’s attempt for a third term in the House of Representatives was scuttled when he lost the 2007 election to the late Morufdeen Adeola Adefolabi.
His attempt to overturn the result failed at the Election Petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court.
Onimole was Vice Chairman of the old Agege Local Government when Chief Michael Oguntona was chairman.
