A chieftain of Southern Borno Youths Initiative, Alhaji Sadiq Abubakar Tijjani Kida, has condemned in the renewed call by the Arewa Youths for Igbos to vacate the North by the end of September 2017, insisting they are the handiwork of mischief makers.
He has also, in very strong terms, condemned the song going viral in Hausa language to the effect that “Igbos deserve to be killed” or “kill Igbos seen anywhere”.
Tijjani, in a statement on Wednesday, noted that such comments and songs “should belong to the dust bin of history”.
He said, “Nigeria has out grown these unnecessary sentiments and our people should realise that the entire world is moving forward. If we are not careful, we will be left behind the current trend of civilization.”
He said that Nigeria as a country was looking forward to greatness and, therefore, does not deserve to be distracted by mischief makers and retrogressive elements who might not know the values of modern civilization.
