The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, (MASSOB), has said they would take over the security in Anambra state, if the state security operatives fail to fish out those behind the killings at St Philip’s Catholic Church within seven days.
MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, stated this in an ultimatum issued on Tuesday, while addressing its members at Ifite-Dunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the State.
“How can this happen in a Biafran land and those behind it left to go scot-free. We cannot take this anymore, since the security operatives could no longer protect lives and property of the people,” he said.
Uwazuruike who spoke through the Commander of BIM Commandos, Chinedu Chukwu, also described those threatening to disrupt the election in the state as day-dreamers, stating that it is not the best option to express grievances.
“Let me remind you also that the gubernatorial election billed to take place in the state come November 18 this year must hold.
“They cannot cry more than us that started this journey to actualize a Biafra republic, they are all our off-shoots,” he added.
