The Professional women groups in Kano poured out in their dozen under the heavy early morning downpour to stage a protest on Tuesday.
The women group took to the street to rally against the rampant cases of rape in Kano and environs. The protest which was jointly organized by alumni of the St, Louis secondary school, Kano, and hordes of other professional women bodies in the city was aimed at drawing attention to the menace of rape.
The women carrying placards that read “real men don’t rape” enough is enough”, “we say no to rape” are expected to march through some selected streets, and end up in Kano House of Assembly.
The women group leader, Nana Asmau Gwadebe would address reporters after the “Women March Against Rape”protest.
