Read What Arewa Youths Plan To Do If Igbos Refuse To Quit North.

The Arewa Youths Coalition has revealed their plans for the south-easterners if they fail to leave their region at the expiration of the quit notice.

Spokesperson of the Arewa Youths Coalition, Suleiman Abdulazeez, has said that if the southeasterners fail to vacate the region at the expiration of the quit notice, the youths will meet the governors of the 19 states in the North to withdraw the ownership of property belonging to Igbos.

In a face to face interview with Dickson Iruegbu of the Nigeria Right Now Project, he disclosed that Suleiman has  stated that the north does not believe in restructuring, saying that the Igbos must leave the north.

Suleiman has insisted that he concurs with the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu that the Igbos are entitled to Biafra, adding that they are only helping the Igbos to achieve their aim.

He said if the Southeasterners failed to vacate the region at the expiration of the quit notice, they will go to their various state governments to withdraw the ownership of the property they own in the region.

He said, “We gave the Igbos quit notice because we want to have peace. You see, some people have insisted that they are not Nigerians. And their brothers in other places supported the impressions and supported that they are not Nigerians, but people of an independent nation of Biafra, then we asked them to go.

“We did not say there’ll be violence. But if by October 1 the Igbos in the North fail to pack their things and go, we’ll go to the government, ask them evoke the properties. And went that didn’t happen,we’ve done our best.

“I’m concurring to Nnamdi kanu’s position that the Igbos are entitled to Biafra and so should quietly leave our region. We are helping the Igbos achieve their aim.

“Igbos are not entitled to be equal citizens with other Nigerians in Nigeria. No they’re not unless a referendum is conducted and they say ‘yes we are Nigerians.”
