The Nigerian Senate has on Tuesday resolved not to entertain further nominees sent to it by the executive for consideration and confirmation.
Senator representing Zamfara West, Ahmed Yerima, had moved a motion questioning Acting
President Yemi Osinbajo for sending a nominee to the Senate after he reportedly said that the upper legislative chamber did not have the power of confirmation.
Recall that Osinbajo had sent a letter to the senate asking it to confirm Lanre Gbajabiamila as the director-general of Nigeria Lottery Commission.
