Quit notice: Listen to voice of God – Imo Deeper Life Church head, Pastor Okoro urges Igbos

The General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Imo State, Pastor Emmanuel Okoro has reacted to the Kaduna Declaration, which ordered all Igbos resident in northern Nigeria to vacate before October 1.

DAILY POST reports that a coalition of Northern Youth Groups tagged “The Kaduna Declaration” had given all Igbos residing in any part of Northern Nigeria three months to relocate to their places of origin.

The spokesman of the group, Alhaji AbdulAziz Suleiman while briefing newsmen in Kaduna, recently said, “With the effective date of this declaration, which is today, Tuesday, June 06, 2017, all Igbos currently residing in any part of Northern Nigeria are hereby served notice to relocate within three months and all northerners residing in the East are advised likewise.”

Reacting, however, Okoro called on the Igbos, who received the vacation order from the Arewa youths to “put their confidence in God.”

He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Owerri, on the coming of the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi to Imo State, June 22.

On the quit notice, he said: “Life is about knowing God and sharing what He has given to you. We are living in a society where there is so much fear and people need assurance.

“What they have to do is to put their confidence in God. I think our brothers and sisters living in the north should listen to the voice of God.”
