Nnamdi Kanu Is Waxing While Buhari Is Waning, Biafrans Say

When Muhammadu Buhari sat gallantly in his first (and maybe last) presidential media chat and declared to the world that the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will not be released even when two courts of competent jurisdiction had declared him on bail and unconditional release, he felt as the president of Nigeria he is immortal and his words are final.

Notwithstanding, that he is a mortal who was fraudulently packaged into power and another chance was given to the unrepentant dictator to prove his worth in leadership after failing woefully when he forcefully took over power from a democratic elected Shehu Shagari in 1983.

Without any iota of plans for the change he promised the citizens of Nigeria during the electioneering, Buhari shifted his focus on imposing nepotism, favoritism, witch-hunting of oppositions, disobedience of court orders and of course, the continual killing of Biafrans.

Muhammadu Buhari who actively participated in the Biafra Genocide of 1967-1970 has unequivocally stated that he will rather drown with the rest of Nigerians than to see the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra.

He declared the innocent and peaceful Biafran protesters as rebels and clear targets for shooting by the Nigeria security forces. Unarmed Biafrans protesting the release of the IPOB leader were massacred severally by the Nigeria security forces.

Forceful disappearance and abduction of Biafrans by the Nigeria security forces is the order of the day in different parts of Biafra Land and Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu was recently released on bail based on health grounds but his international passports have been seized which has impended him from seeking proper medical treatment which is scarce in Nigeria. Even as he is receiving medical treatment in Nigeria, he has continued to receive visitors and has also attended important gatherings which require his presence.

Muhammadu Buhari has become a shadow of himself as he has been limited from his duties; he no longer attends the federal executive council meetings and hardly attends to visitors.

He has foreign doctors attending to him round the clock but clearly he is not responding well to treatment.

The president of Nigeria continues to hide from his citizens and has recently left the country for medical vacation in London for a so-called “follow-up treatment.”

The ruling political party, All Progressive Congress (APC) has began to propagate falsehood about Nnamdi Kanu over his courtesy visit to Fani-Kayode and the South-East Senate Caucus.

The political party, in trying to divert attention from the failure of its party in the governance of Nigeria is peddling lies that the leader of IPOB has given up on the struggle for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra.

The health status of the president has become one of the top secret that cannot be divulged to anyone including the Vice President Osibanjo. Money used in the treatment of the frail president continues to rise while there are no adequate hospitals in the country to cater for the citizens.

While Nnamdi Kanu is waxing and visiting his people, Muhammadu Buhari is waning and hiding from public view. Undoubtedly, it is time for Pharaoh to let the children of God leave the evil contraption named Nigeria.

For the sake of some Biafrans like Joe Igbokwe in faraway Lagos, who still cherish the cucumber and garlic they get from Nigeria, let the people be allowed to make their choice via a referendum.

The people of Biafra have continually chanted it loud for everyone to hear that it is either “Biafra or death.”
