Former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, on Friday received a symbolic bride price of N500, 000 and 10 cows from his businessman son-in-law, Alhaji Auwal Abdullahi, who married Halimat Babangida in Minna, Niger State.
Halimat, who was handed over in marriage at about 2.45 pm, was received by Governor Ibrahim Dankwanbo of Gombe state on behalf of the groom.
No lesser than twenty six private jets, four police and air force aircraft were said to have flooded Minna for the wedding ceremony.
Amongst dignitaries present at the ceremony were ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Patience, acclaimed national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Tinubu, Sen Aliyu Wamakko, Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, Mrs Aikhomu, Mrs Josephine Anenih, ex-governor Babangida Aliyu, and so on.
