The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu who arrived his hometown yesterday after almost two years in detention has finally met with his kinsmen in Isiama Afara, Umuahia in Abia state. Kanu addressed his people alongside his parents, Eze and Lolo Israel Okwu Kanu. The IPOB leader who spoke in his dialect, Igbo while addressing his kinsmen revealed why he decided to fight for Biafra independence and why it must become a reality.
According to him, he has always thought of several ways to end the suffering of his people, and given that it won’t be possible to attend to everyone’s need at same time as some people would be left out, he decided to fight for the republic of Biafra, where according to him everyone will benefit at the same time.
