Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday raided the Kano State home of a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Jutsice, Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN).
According to News Diary, an eyewitness claims the operatives broke down the doors of the house.
“There was no evidence of a search warrant but they broke down some doors, searched everywhere and the roof.
“They found nothing after breaking down the doors of his residence in Kano,” the source said.
The source further noted that there was “no information on the actual mission of the operatives.”
According to him, “this invasion is without deference to the ongoing cases in court against the ex-AGF.”
This comes after the EFCC dragged Adoke to court over the Malabu oil deal. But the former Minister insists the anti-graft agency, has been peddling lies to protect some special family interests.
The EFCC recently asked an Abuja court to issue a bench warrant for Adoke’s arrest.
When contacted, a senior EFCC official said he could not confirm who carried out the operation.
