It has come to the notice of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the unshakable and supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (De Great), a declaration coming from the amalgamated Igbo leaders in Biafraland in a meeting held in Enugu recently. In the said declaration, the Igbo-Biafran leaders which had representatives from different fields of endeavour issued a declaration that there should be no more Nigeria government organized election in all over Biafraland unless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all Biafran political detainees are unconditionally released and #BiafraExit referendum conducted to decide the political future of Biafrans and Biafra territory.
IPOB is using this opportunity to commend these Igbo Biafran leaders for throwing away cowardice in the face of Nigeria government’s tyranny, persecution and total declaration of war against Biafran youths who have vehemently stood that Biafra must be restored, by the Igbo leaders coming back to their senses after months of hiding in their shells due to fear of victimization. But IPOB want to let them know that it is better to be victimized and secure the future of the posterity than to mortgage the destiny of our descendants on the altar of cowardice.
Now, that these Igbo Leaders of thought at home and in diaspora have understood what their children have been crying for all these years, IPOB want to let the Igbo leaders to know that Nigeria government humiliated Igbo leaders with mindless impunity by refusing to release Nnamdi Kanu who is unlawfully detained for nearly two years now even you people demanded for his release in order to mediate in the issue at hand.
It is on this total disrespect, molestation and humiliation of Igbo political, religious, traditional and opinion leaders before the world by Nigeria government under Gen Muhammadu Buhari who deviantly vowed to continue to detain Nnamdi Kanu unlawfully even against court orders, regardless of the request of these Igbo political, traditional, religious and opinion leaders who wished to mediate a dialogue in the burning issue of Biafra, that IPOB make bold to tell Igbo leaders that we, their children are tired of staying in a nation where our fathers are not regarded and respected as stakeholders in its project.
Let Igbo leaders not be ignorant of the fact that the continues unlawful detention of Nnamdi Kanu is a direct mockery, humiliation, slap, reproach and caricature on Igbo leaders meted on them by same Nigeria government which they were standing with few months ago, although many gullible political morons called state governors, senators and ministers thought that attack on Nnamdi Kanu is a mere attack on the youths but it is rather an attack on every Biafran especially Igbo leaders under reference.
Had it been that Nigeria government ever reserved any atom of respect and dignity to Igbo leaders under reference above as stakeholders in the project Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB followers will not be killed, molested, butchered, maimed, tortured in the manner which it is being done today by Nigeria government but they do not regard Igbo leaders.
IPOB is by this publication throwing our total and unshakable support to all Igbo leaders both at home and in diaspora in their stand and declaration that any attack, molestation, humiliation, unlawful detention against Nnamdi Kanu is an attack, molestation and detention on them. If Igbo Biafrans are not seen by Nigeria government authorities as a mere conquered people, why will same government which sets free many convicted Boko Haram terrorists from prison, giving amnesty packages to the Boko Haram fighters which is still killing govt soldiers, and shielding Fulani terrorists, be detaining Nnamdi Kanu (an Igbo Biafran) for no reason other than his demand for the restoration of Biafra?
IPOB is making the Igbo leaders to know that Nigeria government has declared a systematic war against Biafrans in general and Igbo nation in particular. Let nobody feign ignorance to this absolute truth because it is very glaring before our eyes. As for the Biafran youths, we have set the ball rolling that we do not want to hear about anything called election in Biafraland or any part thereof. If they forcefully conduct it with imported barrels of gun, Biafrans are going to boycott the election because what our people want is Biafra restoration and not the polluted Nigeria election which is full of broad daylight brigandage.
