The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu has been accused by Senator Francis Alimikhena of terrorizing the Senate because it refused to confirm his appointment.
The allegation was made on the floor of the Senate.

As a result of pending issues concerning Magu, the Senate decided to postpone the screening and confirmation of 27 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari for two weeks in protest.

Earlier, the Senate President Bukola Saraki had accused Magu of trying to drag his name in the mud because he had been rejected by the legislative chamber.
