A Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Abubakar Kyari who is the Chairman Senate Committee On Defence has been spotted wearing an army camouflage uniform.
The Senator from Borno is Representing Borno North constituency. The photos have attracted comments online with many demanding to know what a Senator is doing in army uniform.
However, the fact that his committee is performing oversight function on Defence might be a reason, as he could be going to a place that requires him to wear the uniform.
The army has in recent times frowned at civilians wearing the uniform as the constitution provides that only members of the armed forces and Presidents/Governors are allowed to wear the uniform.
