West African Boxing Union super lightweight champion, Olamide Fijabi is back in training after cutting his palm prior to his title defense against Raphael Kwabena last December.
“I am back in full training now. I am training really hard and am currently undergoing two training session everyday, one in the morning and one in the evening.”

I am yet to start sparring again but I am going back to basics, working on technical areas in preparation for my return to the ring.
“It can be very frustrating when you give everything you have into preparing for a fight and in the end one small accident can scatter all your plans.”
“After going to see the doctor I was told to take two to three weeks off to let it heal.”
The last minute injury marred the much anticipated rematch between the Nigerian champion and his Ghanaian challenger, Kwabena at the GOtv Boxing Night 10 held at the National Stadium Sports Hall, Lagos on December 26.
Fijabi had earlier in October defeated Kwabena via a split decision after eight rounds in a fight had a lot of fans talking as some felt that the Ghanaian was the better boxer and deserved to be named the winner while others felt Fijabi had done enough in the earlier rounds to win it.
