Abia: Final Days of Okezie Ikpeazu as Governor

Abia: Final Days of Okezie Ikpeazu as Governor

*Supreme Court May Not Favour Ikpeazu

As promised our readers. We are doing a sequel to our episode 1.

In episode one , we reported about the intrigues in the house. Within that period the former speaker confessed to the fact which was already known to us about how Abia money is being shared even before it comes.

What the speaker has not said is why he is bent on fighting his removal. After all he was a beneficiary and was appointed speaker by the same cabal that removed him.

Our intelligence gathered that fears that Okezie may be removed as governor and his refusal to resign is what created the move to change baton in the house, with Ikuku, staying on the wings to take over very soon.

What happened from our intelligence gathering was that it seems their intermediaries are no longer able to reach the Supreme Court judges.

When information was confidentially leaked that things may not Favour Ikpeazu this time, knowing that the same Supreme Court had heard the case before and ruled against Ikpeazu, we learnt the cabal made up of the real people in power, ikuku, Evulogu Ibeku, the accountant general, Ukpai, and Cosmos met with Ochendo.

They advised Okezie to resign, with His deputy so that to render useless any judgment of the Supreme Court since he would resigned.

Ikpeazu insisted on waiting for Supreme Court.

He has made his own money and was able to seek advice from a set of lawyers who asked him to hang on.

Okezie then started reaching out to prominent Nigerians to take him to Obasanjo. He met OBJ twice and sought his support and was to go the third time when he was told that OBJ also hosted Otti and that he was in fact Dr Otti’s friend .

He changed and started going to former president Jonathan who is angry that Ochendo despite the huge money spent during the last election failed in Abia.

While this was going on, we gathered that Speaker Martin was contacted and a plan was hatched to impeach Okezie and His deputy. The speaker accepted, under the impression that he will as a high ranking Ngwaman become the Governor with Ikuku as his deputy. He pledged support and loyalty, but was not trusted because of the way that he treated Ikuku in the house.

With the plan in progress, there was need to impeach the speaker. The governor bought into the deal to forestall his own impeachment and he felt the speaker is not really loyal considering how the speaker fought for the emergence of Ginger Onwusibe as LGA Chairman despite Okezie favouring Uzoma Ihuka. Puff, there went Martins and his ambitions. He threatened to go to court. Our lawyers have advised that it will be a waste of time.

Okezie quickly supported Hon Bishop who was elected but forced to resign within 24 hours to pave way to Ikuku’s boy who will resign anyway he is instructed to do so.

A game of draft is being played between Ikuku and Okezie on who will play out each other.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court will on the 11th hear UCHE Ogah’s appeal.

Watch out for our research on the case coming up for publication on Saturday. Like they say in the radio, stay tuned in and don’t touch the dial.

A lot is happening.

Spare a thought in your heart for Abia state and pray for its salvation is near.

Who bought two big hotels in Aba at the same time? Watch out.
