The BBC’s Ishaq Khalid has taken these pictures of the enormous queues for fuel in Nigeria’s northern Bauchi state.
The motorbike riders may look like they’re waiting for passengers, but the second picture shows them in front of the filling station hoping to get petrol.
One of the reasons the queues are so long is that some people are getting fuel for their diesel generators, which they rely on because of the poor electricity supply.
