2019: Uproar As President Buhari Allegedly Plots Osinbajo’s Sack
Mixed reactions have trailed media reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is keen on replacing Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo with another candidate as his running mate for the 2019 presidential election.
A source in the APC has said the president, from his body language, is already looking beyond Osinbajo because he knows Osinbajo’s loyalty lies with Bola Tinubu.
The Daily Independent, citing a close source in the All Progressives Congress (APC), reported that the possibility of Osinbajo running on a joint ticket with Buhari in 2019 is very remote because of the close ties the current vice- president has with Bola Tinubu
The source said the president, from his body language, is already looking beyond Osinbajo because he knows Osinbajo’s loyalty lies with Tinubu.
He named the minister of solid minerals Kayode Fayemi and a former governor of Abia state Orji Uzor Kalu as likely replacements for Yemi Osinbajo.
