Madu, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Awka, Anambra state, said MASSOB was invited alongside other world leaders of self-determination groups, insisting that MASSOB National Executive officials would be at the meeting.The statement reads in part: “MASSOB has concluded plans to attend an International Conference on the Rights of Indigenous People and self-determination which will be held in a Western European Country soon.

“The Leader of MASSOB, was invited alongside other World leaders of self-determination groups, and would attend the Conference with 7 man delegation of MASSOB National Executive officials.

“MASSOB will also pressurize and insist on the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB, Benjamin Onwuka of BZM and 23 Biafran detainees at Awka and Onitsha prison since 2006. We demand the unconditional release of our brother, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB Leader and others) whose cases cannot be justified by Nigeria Govt. Their continued detention has exposed the incompetency and bias mind of Nigeria judiciary.
