Presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Donald Etim Duke has vowed to bring the price of fuel to about ₦300 per litre, if elected as Nigeria’s President in 2027.

Duke made the pledge Wednesday 7 October 2026 on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, and also expounded on his plans for the economy plus his expectations for the 2027 election.
According to him, slashing the price of gasoline would be one of his cardinal measures because of the role the product plays in the country’s economy.
He stressed that availability and affordability of fuel are important to the productivity of Nigerians and the wider economy.
Asked what he considered a realistic price for petrol under his administration, Duke responded:
“Try and bring it to about ₦300. I’ve said several times that the function of government is to ensure the productivity of their citizens within a safe and orderly environment.
“Fuel drives your economy. It should be available. It should be affordable,” he said.
