Residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, are calling on the government to come to their rescue after heavy rainfall left parts of the city severely flooded.
Videos show houses and cars submerged in floodwater, while some residents claim they spotted crocodiles in the flooded areas. Another video shows what appears to be a giant crocodile moving through a residential area, but the authenticity of that particular footage could not be independently confirmed, with some viewers questioning whether it was AI-generated.
However, a separate video showing residents killing a baby crocodile in a flooded area has been confirmed to be real.
