A 74-year-old Nigerian senator has sparked online discussion after he married an 18-year-old lady who happens to be his granddaughter’s best friend in a lavish wedding ceremony.
The senator, who goes by the name, Dangana Ocheja, was a senator from Kogi State, Nigeria. Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja served in the Nigerian Senate for four years, from 2011 to 2015.
He took office representing the Kogi East senatorial district on June 6, 2011, and completed his single term in 2015.
Senator Dangana married his granddaughter’s bestie as his new wife. The bride is named Winifred, and she is 18.
The video from the superlative wedding was shared by film producer Seun Oloketuyi, the Founder/ Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON) Ventures.
In the clip that has generated significant attention online, the former senator was seen dancing with his 18-year-old new wife, Winifred, who appeared excited as she enthusiastically joined him on the dance floor. The couple became one of the major attractions at the wedding as they danced together.
