Thirty years after Nigeria’s historic Atlanta 1996 Olympic gold medal triumph, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved a special reward for Kaduna indigenes who were part of the legendary Dream Team.

The former players are set to receive land allocations and street names as recognition for their contribution to one of the greatest achievements in Nigerian football history.
Nigeria’s Dream Team made history in Atlanta by becoming the first African team to win Olympic football gold, defeating some of the world’s biggest footballing nations along the way.
The gesture is a long-awaited recognition of the heroes who brought immense pride to Kaduna State and Nigeria on the global stage.
