The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Accord Party of manipulating the Osun State governorship election by declaring unofficial results before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued to the press and obtained by IgbereTV, the APC warned Accord Party members and supporters against feeding the public with what it described as “fake election results,” insisting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the only body constitutionally empowered to conduct and declare election outcomes .
The party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, described the act as “dangerous, criminal and illegal” and called on security agencies to investigate the matter .
The APC also raised concerns over the alleged use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate false results and warned that Governor Ademola Adeleke could be held responsible if such actions lead to a post-election crisis .

INEC Declares Adeleke Winner
Meanwhile INEC has officially declared Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party the winner of the election on Sunday, August 16, 2026 .
Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, announced the final results :
Ademola Adeleke of Accord: 511,067
Bola Oyebamiji of APC: 444,815
Najeem Salaam of ADC: 17,180
Adeleke won by a margin of 66,252 votes, securing victories in 19 of Osun’s 30 Local Government Areas, while the APC won 11 LGAs . The incumbent governor described his victory as a “victory for democracy and the people of Osun”.
