UMUAHIA – The Ndi Ezeogo of Abam Onyerubi has officially declared their support for Governor Alex Otti’s second-term bid in 2027, describing his administration as transformative and people-centred.

In a statement issued on behalf of the entire Abam Clan and signed by the Ndi Ezeogo of Abam Onyerubi, the monarchs commended Governor Otti for his exceptional leadership and unprecedented development projects across the state, noting that Abam has benefited significantly from his administration.
The monarchs cited the reconstruction of the Omenuko Bridge, the rehabilitation of the Abam–Arochukwu Road, ongoing road projects, improved healthcare delivery, quality education, enhanced security, and rural development as clear evidence of a government genuinely committed to the welfare and prosperity of the people.
“We are delighted with the cordial relationship between you and Chief James Chijoke Ume (Ike Abam), an illustrious son of Abam whose steadfast support for your administration and sacrifices for Ndi Abam have remained inspirational,” the statement read.
The monarchs also acknowledged the harmonious relationship between the governor’s administration and the Majority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Okoro, who represents Arochukwu State Constituency, among other political appointees from Abam.
They expressed particular gratitude for the appointment of competent sons and daughters of Abam into strategic positions, especially the appointment of Engr. Christopher Kalu as Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, making him the first son of Abam to head a tertiary institution in Abia State.
“Your Excellency, be assured that Abam has got your back covered,” the monarchs declared.
In recognition of the governor’s achievements and commitment to development, the Ndi Ezeogo of Abam Onyerubi reaffirmed their total endorsement of Governor Otti’s second-term bid in 2027, pledging unalloyed loyalty and unwavering support.
“We are convinced that the continuity of your administration will usher in greater progress, accelerated development, and lasting prosperity for Abia State,” they added.
The monarchs prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, sound health, and divine guidance for the governor to sustain his transformational leadership.
