Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, yesterday received the President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Abuja, Comrade Oghenenyrowo Peculiar Eyamu, alongside members of her leadership team during a courtesy visit to his office.
Comrade Eyamu, a proud daughter of Egini Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, recently made history as the first female President of the University of Abuja Students’ Union Government.
During the meeting, Senator Dafinone congratulated her on the historic achievement, describing it as a remarkable milestone that reflects resilience, determination, and the growing role of women in student leadership.
He encouraged the SUG President and her executive team to lead with integrity, humility, and accountability, urging them to remain focused on promoting the welfare, interests, and aspirations of the students they represent.
Senator Dafinone also expressed confidence in the team’s ability to provide purposeful leadership and contribute positively to the university community.
He concluded by wishing Comrade Eyamu and her leadership team a successful, impactful, and rewarding tenure in office.
