For years, the people of Enugu State have listened to countless promises while yearning for practical governance that delivers real results. Today, there is a growing demand for purposeful leadership that can translate aspirations into measurable progress and restore public confidence in governance.
Speaking under the banner of ENUGU ARISE 2027, Dr. Darlington Ofor has presented a compelling vision anchored on economic transformation, inclusive development, youth empowerment, security, enterprise growth, and people-centered governance.
According to Dr. Ofor, Enugu State possesses enormous potential driven by its hardworking people, enterprising youths, rich cultural heritage, fertile land, and abundant human capital. He emphasized that what the state needs at this defining moment is leadership founded on vision, competence, compassion, accountability, and the courage to place the interests of the people above all else.
“ENUGU ARISE 2027 is more than a political slogan,” he stated. “It is a movement dedicated to creating opportunities, strengthening institutions, empowering communities, and building a more prosperous and united Enugu State.”
Dr. Ofor further noted that the aspirations of citizens across the state remain the same — from Nsukka to Enugu East, from Udi to Nkanu, and from Isi-Uzo to Oji River, stressing that the people desire a government that works for everyone irrespective of background or location.
He called on citizens to rise above divisive politics and embrace a new era of progress, transparency, enterprise, and shared prosperity.
“Enugu can rise again,” Dr. Ofor declared. “The time to move from promises to progress is now.”
