Woman With Memory Loss Found On Lagos Road

A woman has been reportedly found stranded and disoriented at Iyana Era along the Lagos–Badagry Expressway in Lagos State, with fears that she may have suffered memory loss possibly linked to severe stress.

A video circulating on Wednesday showed the woman appearing confused and unable to properly identify herself, a situation that has drawn widespread public sympathy and calls for urgent intervention.

Reacting to the development, Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan urged the Lagos State Government and relevant agencies to step in immediately to ensure the woman receives proper medical attention and protection.

In a statement shared via Instagram on Wednesday, the lawmaker described the situation as heartbreaking and emphasised the need for swift action.

She wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a woman reportedly stranded at Iyana Era, off the Lagos–Badagry Expressway, who appears to have lost her memory …possibly due to severe stress-induced mental health distress.

“I call on the Lagos State Government, relevant agencies, and compassionate members of the public to swiftly intervene, ensure she receives proper care, and secure the safety of her children.

“As she is being attended to, it is my sincere hope that her children are protected and kept close to her in a safe environment.

In another post, the lawmaker offered to give N500,000 to whoever locates the woman.

She wrote, “₦500k for whoever locates this woman and her children within 3 hours today. I can’t imagine her babies sleeping out in the dangerous streets.

“Her last location was Iyana Era, off Lagos Badary Expressway. Once you locate her, publish a video of you two together under this post.”

As of press time, the Lagos State Government had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
