The Rector of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, Engr. C. K. Okoro, has extended a warm birthday message to Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, praising him as a “true icon” as he celebrates his 61st birthday.
In a statement personally signed and released to the press, Engr. Okoro lauded the Governor’s leadership, describing him as a gift to humanity and a blessing to the state. The Rector specifically highlighted the transformative impact of the Governor’s administration on the polytechnic, noting that his visionary approach has eased the institution’s work.
“Your Excellency, you are truly a gift to humanity and a blessing to Abia State. Your visionary and people-centered leadership has remarkably eased our work at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, through massive infrastructural renewal, improved staff welfare, and other impactful interventions that have repositioned the institution for excellence,” the statement read.
Engr. Okoro further noted that under Governor Otti’s purposeful leadership, residents of Aba, the people of Abam ancient kingdom, and all Abians are tangibly experiencing good governance across all sectors. He commended the Governor for restoring hope, dignity, and confidence in governance, and for laying a solid foundation for a New, Progressive, and Prosperous Abia State.
“With courage, competence, and compassion, you have laid a solid and enduring foundation for a New, Progressive, and Prosperous Abia State,” the Rector added.
On behalf of the management, staff, and students of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Engr. Okoro prayed for the Governor’s continued success, wishing him abundant wisdom, robust health, and renewed strength as he steers the state to higher heights.
“Happy Birthday to the People’s Governor!” the message concluded.
