Aishat Raji, the Nigerian actress, has responded to filmmaker Austine Emmanuel’s long-standing allegations that she colluded with industry marketers to sabotage his career.
The feud dates back to a 2025 interview in which Emmanuel claimed he was the one who introduced Raji to the film industry and that the two were romantically involved.

He alleged that after their relationship ended, Raji conspired with a major marketing company Toymax Film Holdings — with whom he claimed she was also involved — to have him blacklisted from directing and writing roles.
Responding in a TikTok live session that has since gone viral, Raji dismissed every aspect of Emmanuel’s story.
She denied ever having a romantic or sexual relationship with him.
Raji also refuted the claim that Emmanuel was responsible for her entry into Nollywood, stating that her first movie was directed by veteran actor Rasaq Olayiwola (Ojopagogo), not Emmanuel.
She accused him of trying to “force himself” on her despite knowing she was in a relationship and framed his allegations as jealousy over her success.
“Austine tell the world the reason for your downfall. Bring out the evidence that we ever had s*x. If you have family issues, don’t put your frustration on me,” she said.
“I warned you then not to destroy your marriage because of me when you were chasing me around. To those saying I wanted to be his second wife, how can I be a second wife to a poor man who could not even afford to rent a house, a man who never contributed a dime to his wedding, who does not know what his kids eat.
“You can not even afford a three square meal. You were sleeping with different married women and you expect to make it in life.
She turned the blacklisting accusation back on him and concluded by accusing Emmanuel of being the architect of his own professional struggles.
“You told producers not to use me in their movies again, it is karma for you,” she said.
