The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, with former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as Chairman of the party’s 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee.
Governor Uzodimma, who was initially appointed to head the committee, has now been reassigned as Treasurer of the convention planning body.

The party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90, a move aimed at broadening representation and strengthening preparations for the national convention.
Among the newly appointed members is Senator Barry Mpigi, alongside several other prominent APC chieftains drawn from across the country.
Party sources said the restructuring forms part of internal adjustments designed to ensure effective coordination, inclusiveness and seamless organisation of the APC’s 2026 National Convention.
Meanwhile, in a related development, the APC has adjusted its 2026 timetable for nationwide congresses, the national convention and other related activities.
According to the party, the Expression of Interest Form and Nomination Form will be available for purchase and collection at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Secretariat, No. 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja.
The party leadership said the revised schedule and administrative adjustments are part of efforts to streamline internal processes ahead of the 2026 political activities.
