Today, the EFCC has just recovered a whopping β¦1.27 billion from the businessman, Olasijibomi Ogundele, and handed it over to the Enugu State Government after first declaring him wanted and obtaining a court order to detain him.
Have you noticed that nobody has raised any ethnic sentiments? Not a single person.
But the minute the EFCC goes after a high-profile politician, businessman, or celebrity, who is not from the President’s ethnic nationality, everybody will rise and shout that such a person is being persecuted because of his ethnicity.

Why isn’t Olasijibomi Ogundele being persecuted for his ethnicity?
Listen, for Nigeria to progress as a nation, we must downplay ethnicity and promote objectivity.
If anyone is being prosecuted by the EFCC, the only argument in their defence from the dramatis personae and their supporters must be that they are innocent, not that they are being punished because they are from such and such a place or belong to this or that opposition party.
