Nigerian content creator Kolu has sparked reactions online after openly criticising fellow skit maker Carter Efe over his breakup with his baby mama, Nuella, while expressing romantic interest in her.

Carter Efe recently revealed during a public conversation that he and his baby mama had parted ways and that he has been single for over a year. The disclosure triggered renewed discussions online, including resurfacing allegations of domestic issues involving the former couple, though no official confirmation has been made. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Reacting to the development in a statement that has since gone viral on social media, Kolu described Carter Efe’s decision to end the relationship as a mistake. He went further to publicly declare his interest in Nuella, urging Carter Efe to step aside so he could marry her.

In the viral clip, Kolu said:

“Carter Efe really messed up. How could you break up with your beautiful baby mama? Leave her for me, I’ll marry her. I have money and a car — you don’t have a car. Leave her for me.”

His remarks, which touched on financial stability and personal possessions, quickly attracted mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some users viewed the statement as humorous or clout-driven, others criticised Kolu for making light of a sensitive personal issue.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Carter Efe nor Nuella has publicly responded to Kolu’s comments.
