Mrs Soludo urges Nigerians to show love, kindness at Christmas
The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has urged Nigerians to use the Christmas season to show genuine love and kindness to one another, irrespective of how little such gestures may seem.
Soludo made the call in her Christmas goodwill message on Thursday in Awka.

She said the birth of Jesus Christ taught humanity the importance of love, selflessness and compassion.
According to her, the true essence of Christmas lay in the heart of the giver rather than the size or value of the gift.
“Whatever you can give to make someone’s Christmas memorable, do not hesitate to give.
“Christ’s birth, among other things, teaches us to love, even if it makes the littlest of impacts,”she said.
Soludo said that acts of kindness should be extended to neighbours, friends and even strangers,
She said that sincere love has the power to spread joy and hope during the festive season.
“It is about the heart that gives, not the weight or size of what you are giving. Show some genuine love and kindness to that neighbour, friend or stranger,” she said.
Soludo advised citizens to celebrate responsibly, while paying attention to their health and personal goals.
“As you merry, remember to stay healthy and focused. Merry Christmas to all,” she said
