Nobody Collected $1.2 Million For Kebbi Stadium – Shehu Dikko

Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, has said that nobody in the commission received the $1.2 million from the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, for the Kebbi stadium project.

Dikko made this rebuttal on Friday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television monitored Igbere TV.

Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, had made damning allegations, accusing the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, of pocketing $1 million from FIFA.

Reacting, Dikko said: “Nobody collected the $1.2 million for the Kebbi stadium because FIFA manages the project directly.

“It’s FIFA that appointed the consultant, the contractor, and will pay the contractors directly.

“The job of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, in this kind of instruction is to provide the land and say this is what we want.

“At the end of the day, it is FIFA that will appoint their consultants, go through the process, appoint their contractors and pay them directly.”
