Nigeria Get World Cup Boost as CAF Announces New Qualification Criteria

CAF’s recent changes to the World Cup qualifying format have reopened the playoff route for Nigeria.

The Super Eagles, previously ruled out of contention for a best second-placed spot, now have renewed hope after Eritrea’s withdrawal forced CAF to adjust the criteria.

Nigeria, currently on 14 points with one game left, can reach a maximum of 17 points — a total that may now be enough to qualify through the revised system.

So, do you believe the Super Eagles will be at the World Cup?
