A Celebration of Love and Legacy: Wedding of Dr. Chikamkpa Amaechi & Anita Nwabueze

On Saturday, 27th September, 2025, Abuja radiated elegance and cultural pride as Dr. Chikamkpa Amaechi, son of H.E, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CON, Nigeria’s former Minister of Transportation and two-term Governor of Rivers State exchanged vows with his bride, Anita Nwabueze.

From the vibrant traditional marriage rites to the solemn white wedding, the celebrations drew together a powerful constellation of leaders, past and present political figures, sitting senators, business icons, women leaders, and traditional rulers.

The Amaechi–Nwabueze wedding became a national rallying point, where political rivals mingled freely, setting aside party lines to celebrate love. From APC to ADC, PDP to Labour , the guest list reflected Nigeria’s strength in diversity.

 

The Holy Matrimony was solemnized at St. Gabriel Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Durumi 1, FCT–Abuja, officiated by Rev. Fr. Steve Dedua. The grand reception was held at Los Angeles Events Centre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kado, Abuja.

 

Earlier, the traditional marriage on Saturday, 20th September, 2025, displayed rich culture, tradition, and elegance.

 

Together, the two events became a historic celebration of love, heritage, and legacy, graced by Nigeria’s most distinguished leaders across national, state, and community levels.
