Yenagoa Court Remands Kadi B, Two Friends in Custody Following Brutal Viral Assault

YENAGOA – A Yenagoa Magistrate Court has ordered three individuals to be remanded at the Okaka Correctional Centre for 21 days in connection with a vicious physical assault that ignited public fury after video of the attack spread across social media.

The defendants, identified as Kadi Blessing, Becky, and Miracle, face serious charges including assault, attempted murder, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying. The charges stem from a widely circulated video depicting the alleged attack on a woman identified only as Nancy.

The graphic nature of the video prompted widespread calls for justice, drawing public and official attention to the case.

During Tuesday’s court proceedings, the prosecution successfully argued for the 21-day remand order. The time will allow the Nigeria Police Force to complete its investigation and await crucial legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), which will determine the next steps for the case.

The court granted the request, meaning the trio will be held in custody until their next hearing. The case has been closely watched as a test of the justice system’s response to crimes amplified through digital platforms.
