The Abia State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development will, on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, host the Maiden Edition of the Abia Youth Leaders Townhall Meeting. The event aims to reposition Abia youths for greater participation in the New Abia agenda through dialogue, collaboration, and empowerment.
Speaking ahead of the Townhall Meeting, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Sir Nwaobilor Nwadinma Ananaba, noted that Governor Alex Otti has introduced several strategic programs designed to positively impact the lives of Abia youths. He described the Townhall Meeting as a platform for Youth Leaders to actively engage and contribute to the ongoing initiatives of the Ministry.
Also addressing the Planning Committee at the Government House, Umuahia, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu, emphasized Governor Otti’s deliberate commitment to youth development. He noted that the Governor is keen on equipping Abia youths with relevant skills for sustainable growth.
The Abia Youth Leaders Townhall Meeting is scheduled to take place as follows:
