Prominent political figure, Martha Agba, joined key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benin for a high-level South-South Stakeholders Meeting, convened to reaffirm regional support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering brought together a strong delegation of party faithful, including the Governors of Delta, Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Cross River States; APC executives from across the South-South zone; and former Governors, notably Senator Ben Ayade of Cross River State.
Most prominently, the President of the Senate led a robust delegation of National Assembly members from the South-South zone, signaling the party’s strong unity and readiness for the road ahead.
Martha Agba reiterated her support for President Tinubu and Gov Otu’s re-election and encouraged more young women to get involved in governance. She urged them to position themselves for elective roles ahead of the 2027 elections, noting that inclusive participation is vital to Nigeria’s democratic growth.
The meeting ended with the Senate President delivering the closing remarks and reading the official communique, which unanimously adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the South-South’s endorsed candidate for a second term in office.
