The incident occurred on Saturday at the Corinthia Villa Hotel in Garki, where Warshaviak was staying with his wife. According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the man suddenly fell ill around 9:51 a.m. and was rushed to Asokoro General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The hotel’s Chief Security Officer, Okorie Emmanuel, reported the incident to the Garki Divisional Police Headquarters at approximately 11:23 a.m. Police authorities promptly visited both the hotel and the hospital to document the incident before transferring the body to the morgue for an autopsy.
Authorities have yet to disclose the cause of death, but unconfirmed reports suggest possible foul play given Warshaviak’s alleged ties to intelligence operations. Nigerian security agencies are reportedly collaborating with the Israeli Embassy to facilitate consular procedures and further investigations.
This development comes amid heightened security concerns in Nigeria’s capital, raising questions about foreign espionage activities on Nigerian soil.
