The Will of late elder statesman and former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General, Chief (Engr. Dr.) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has been made public, and it comes with some strict conditions.
According to the document, officially released on June 16, 2025, and administered by Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru (SAN), the respected businessman and politician left detailed instructions on how his wealth should be shared among his family.
One of the key highlights is that his wife, Lolo Frances, was willed the iconic “Legacy House” located along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, along with Magil Furniture, and partial ownership of real estate in Orji, Works Layout, and Naze (Imo State). However, the Will clearly states that if Frances decides to remarry, she will automatically lose ownership of all the properties willed to her. Also, she must never sell the Legacy House.
His son inherits the family home in Abuja, while the London property is to be sold. The proceeds from the sale are to be shared as follows:
🔹 60% for the education of Iwuanyanwu’s youngest son
🔹 30% to his first son, Jide
🔹 10% to Ezinne, who currently lives in the property, to help her secure another home.
In a notable move, the late Iwuanyanwu ordered that his “Glass House” near Orji flyover be turned into a public trust managed by an independent board, and used strictly for charity and community service.
Other properties located in Abuja, Imo, and across Nigeria were also shared among his five children. The family described the Will as “honorable and just.”
🕊️ May his soul rest in peace.
