President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, conferred the national honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic on American billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates, in Lagos.
This was confirmed in post on X (formerly Twitter) by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to a statement from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gates is in Nigeria this week to meet with Tinubu and discuss initiatives to strengthen the country’s primary healthcare system.
