In a stunning act of bravery and integrity, a Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officer, Prince Orji Ugochukwu (Facebook: Okeosisi Ugo), rejected a N10 million bribe and an iPhone 13 Pro Max offered by a notorious Enugu-based ritualist, Ezeani “Ichie Billion”, in a desperate bid to escape justice.
The Capture of a Serial Killer
Ezeani, a self-proclaimed native doctor and alleged leader of a deadly occultic group, had been on the run after his atrocities were exposed. Reports indicate that he buried multiple victims alive in a soakaway pit in his compound in Umumba, Ezeagu, Enugu State. His crimes, linked to ritual killings for wealth and power, sparked nationwide outrage after images of his alleged victims surfaced online.
The Dramatic Arrest
On Wednesday afternoon, Officer Ugochukwu, stationed at the Gbaji checkpoint along Seme Road, spotted a suspicious man on a motorcycle wearing a face cap. Recognizing him from viral social media photos, Ugochukwu signaled for the bike to stop, but the suspect sped off.

In a swift response, the officer pursued him on another bike, intercepting him at another immigration checkpoint. When confronted, Ezeani initially denied his identity, claiming the wanted man was his brother. However, Ugochukwu remained unconvinced.
The Bribe & Rejection
Cornered, the desperate ritualist resorted to bribery:
– First Offer: N10 million (“blood money”) to let him go.
– Second Offer: His iPhone 13 Pro Max (worth ₦1M) and a Tecno Camon 19.
Ezeani pleaded innocence, alleging he was framed by rivals vying for the throne of his community. But Ugochukwu stood firm, declaring:
“I refused his blood money. I refused his iPhone. I refused to let evil go free.”
The Arrest & Aftermath
Ugochukwu handcuffed Ezeani, took viral photos of him, and alerted the Seme Border Patrol Command. Despite initial skepticism from colleagues, the officer’s vigilance ensured the suspect was transferred to authorities.
In a nation often plagued by corruption, Officer Prince Orji Ugochukwu’s unwavering integrity serves as a beacon of hope. His refusal to accept a bribe—despite its life-changing value—proves that justice can prevail when officers stand firm against evil.
